In my early 20s I started looking to look for my other half. My parents spoke to friends, family and the aunty in the community. Outcome… met a few girls but nothing materialised. Our next step was asking a few uncles in the mosque but it wasn’t meant to be. I personally mentioned it to friends that I was looking hoping for a door to open, but nothing.

Now looking around for what options I had I realised that times have moved on. With mobile phones being the focal point of our lives I realised that online is a place which is helping people get married. So I signed up for a few without mentioning no names I became very frustrated for the following reasons:
Some platforms felt like a dating app
Profiles seemed fake and I did not want to be cat fished
Some seem to be interested in one thing… taking my money

Allah is the best of planners and at this point after Isha prayer a friend just asked me how my search for a spouse was going and I informed him of the above. At this point he suggested why don’t we make an platform that will overcome these problems and Road2Nikkah was established.
So why are we different?
Both genders are encouraged to involve their parents/guardians as we want people to get married and not start a relationship outside wedlock
When a chat starts between 2 individuals they cannot start chat with anyone else so people only start a chat with someone they are serious about
All users are encouraged to have parent or guardians present and show ID when meeting for the first time.
